Day 1    Arrival to Leticia, Jungle to day 1 (3 days of crossing Leticia - Nainecuema Reserve-Rio Tucuxira)

  • Bogotá - Leticia, arrival at the Alfredo Vásquez Cobo Airport.

  • Reception, instruction of the guides.

  • Departure to the Leticia road via Tarapaca Km. 18

  • Jungle hike inside: We begin the jungle journey inland to the Nainecuema reserve-Tucuxira River.

  • In the company of indigenous Yaguas mariners, the guides on our journey through the Amazon rainforest.

  • During our journey through the jungle the Yaguas indigenous people will let us know species of use in traditional medicine, interpreting the dynamics of the jungle.

  • Lunch during the tour.

  • The Yaguas as expert hunters will teach us to interpret the tracks and the paths of the animals.

  • They will show us the "salty" sacred place where all the animals of the jungle arrive.

  • Looking for the conditions, we park somewhere in the jungle to spend the night.

Day 2   Jungle inside, survival in jungle day 2

  • Breakfast at 07:30 A.M.

  • Continuing our journey through the Amazon jungle.

  • Our indigenous guides collect fruits from the jungle like Copuazu, and Acaí, fruits that will give us the energy to continue our journey through the jungle.

  • Basic survival instruction in the jungle (Refuge and water)

  • Lunch, palm worms with yucca.

  • Walk through jungle with rugged landscapes of high hills between small ravines of jungle origin.

  • Camp in the ravine.

  • Bath in the creek.

  • Fishing activity.

  • Diner

  • Night of stories, myths and legends of the jungle.

  • Overnight in hammocks with mosquito nets.

 

Day 3    Jungle to day 3

  • Breakfast at 7:00 A.M.

  • Continuing our journey through the Amazon jungle to the Nainecuema Reserve, Tucuxira river.

  • During our tour we appreciate the extraction of rubber "latex" and other species of use by the Yuguas Indians.

  • Basic survival instruction in jungle (Fire and food)

  • Arrival at the Nainecuema Reserve.

  • Lunch at the Nainecuema Reserve.

  • Resting afternoon in the Nainecuema Reserve-

  • visit to the community of Santa Sofia.

  • Visit to the artisans' house, visit to the Maloca de Nuevo Jardín.

  • Diner

  • Accommodation in beds with mosquito nets.

 

Day 4    Kayak on the great Amazon River (40 km route over the Tucixira River and the Amazon River)

  • Breakfast at 6:00 A.M.

  • Kayak departure from the Nainecuema Reserve, on the tucuxira river to Leticia.

  • Visit to the community of Progreso Ticunas Indians.

  • Sailing the Tucuxira river, over landscapes of flooded forest.

  • Kayak on the imposing Amazon River, we sailed in favor of the river between Peru and Colombia with destination to the imaginary point of the three borders, borders with Brazil.

  • Lunch at the Flor de Loto Natural Reserve.

  • Departure by kayak on the lakes of Yahuarcaca to Leticia.

  • Transfers to the Waira Suites hotel.

Day 5    Leticia Return - Bogotá

  • Breakfast at 8:00 A.M.

  • City tour Leticia and Tabatinga (2 hours approx.).

  • Visit the market of Leticia and artisanal galleries, the border of Tabatinga Brazil and Leticia Colombia, the Tabatinga market, the commercial area of ​​Tabatinga, and the Comara viewpoint.

  • Transfer to the airport one hour before the flight.

  • It is essential to have the citizenship card, if you are a minor, identity card, or civil registry and the authorization of the parents (if only one of the parents accompanies you and if the program requires you to leave the country), if you are a foreigner resident in Colombia the immigration card or passport (verify validity of the passport), as well as the current international certificate of vaccination against yellow fever, (apply with a minimum of 10 days before the trip.) and against tetanus. (Vaccines is a preventive suggestion but not mandatory).

  • Carry the medical assistance card or ID card or pre-paid medicine.
