Day 1

• Arrival at the Alfredo Vásquez Cobo Airport in the city of Leticia.

• Meeting with your guide for the excursion, reception, departure in vehicle van or taxi Amazon tour to the extent of the group, making a displacement of 7 km on the Leticia road via Tarapacá, bound for the Witoto Community.

• Arriving at the community. Your guide will give the instructions and Orientation at the point of departure.

• We begin our adventure with a hike through indigenous trails through jungle landscapes of the mainland, observing the fauna and flora of the place.

• Visit the traditional crops of indigenous Witotos where we will know species of crops such as coca, bananas and yuca brava (toxic yucca).

• After this pleasant and interesting 1 hour journey.

• We arrived at the Maloca, (Indigenous Witoto).

• Recognition of plant species such as Yagé, Coca and Tabaco, and the form of extraction, preparation in the Witoto culture.

• Night walk through the jungle of the mainland, recognition of nocturnal species and the moon paths luminescence in the jungle floor.

• Then we started a conversation about the Witoto culture of topics such as the maloca as a domestic space and cultural signage, coca as the power of the word, and yagé power and shamanic force.

• Dinner.

• Accommodation in hammocks with mosquito nets.

 

Day 2

• Breakfast 8:00 a.m.

• Visit to the chagras recognition of fruit species such as Yuca brava and others.

• Recognition of medicinal species and rituals such as Yagé, coca and tobacco.

• Road to the Tacana river.

• Artisanal fishing in the Tacana river.

• Return to the Maloca.

• Lunch in the Maloca.

• Way of departure to the Leticia road via Tarapacá.

• Departure by vehicle to Km. 14

• Jungle trek: In the morning we will make an incursion into the jungle of the mainland during our tour we will recognize species of use in ethnobotany, knowing the dynamics of the jungle.

• Set up a jungle camp with hammocks and mosquito nets.

• Campfire to prepare the night.

• Dinner.

• Night of myths and stories of the jungle.

 

Day 3

• Breakfast

• Unset up the jungle camp.

• Jungle trek to the Community of San Pedro and Lotus Flower Reserve

• Crossing the Leticia highway via Tarapacá.

• We continue our journey through the jungle to the indigenous Ticuna community of San Pedro

• Wildlife observation of the mainland area. (Approximately 3 hours of walking)

• We arrived to the indigenous community of San Pedro (Indigenous Ticunas of the mainland).

• During the visit to the community we will know about their activities in the day, the products derived from crops, we will make a brief cultural exchange with the residents of the community knowing the Ticuna language.

• After our visit to the community of San Pedro.

• We sailed on slow motor boats of the natives by water trails of the Yahuarcaca creek to the Lotus Flower Reserve in the lakes of Yahuarcaca.

• Swimming activity in the lakes of Yahuarcaca. (The activity of visiting the community of San Pedro and touring the Yahuarcaca gorge only applies to the high water months from November to June).

• Arrival to the Lotus Flower Reserve, welcome.

• Lunch at the Lotus Flower Nature Reserve.

• After a rest in hammocks.

• Fishing and canoeing activity in traditional canoes in the Yahuarcaca lakes.

• During our tour we will recognize the landscapes of the flooded forest.

• Diner

• Departure by craft boat for the observation of nocturnal fauna.

• Lodging in cabins with private bathroom.

 

Day 4

• Breakfast 8:00 a.m.

• Departure by craft boat, navigate the imposing Amazon River downstream to Leticia.

• Location of the imaginary point of the three borders Brazil, Peru and Colombia

• Visit to the population of the Island of Santa Rosa (Peru).

• Tour and recognition of the Peruvian town.

• Departure to Leticia (Colombia)

• Visit the Leticia market and artisanal galleries, the border of Brazil and Colombia

• Visit to Tabatinga (Brazil), tour of the Tabatinga market, the commercial area of Tabatinga, the Comara viewpoint.

• Transfer to the airport one hour before the flight.
